Hi Everyone!
How wonderful to have another public holiday - for whatever reason.
I caught up on my washing, paperwork, watched a little Love Boat and Knight Rider,
listed to a bit of the JJJ Hottest 100 (yawn) and actually managed to keep my
computer off for (nearly) the whole day.
I think that this is what Sundays used to be about?
Please bring them back or give us more regular "stop" days.
It feels good to slow down sometimes.
Who knows what the weather will bring at the moment but definitely
hoping for some sunshine for the Laneway Festival this weekend!
Here's what's new...

Antipodium has certainly become international hot property and has
matured and grown immensely over the last 12 months.
With every new collection come loads of wonderful wearable
pieces for the modern girl and woman.
I say wearable but never dull as designer Geoffrey J Finch
has not been one to hold back on progressive ideas.
The label has been stocked in London's grand store Liberty
for quite some years and this season has made it's
way to Barneys in New York.
This collection takes it's title and inspiration from the 1978
Woody Allen film Interiors and you can feel it in the interesting
colour mixes and surprising mix of textiles.
My favourite piece conceptually is the patent leather skirt and it
looks fabulous with Lemon waffle knit.
The beautiful and exclusive prints for this collection have been created by London
based, Swedish artist Miriam Ivanoff.

Please take a look at her wordpress to discover her other work.
I had never come across Miriam before but I love her style - it's all colourful and crayony
and full of affection!

The latest collection of Supply designs includes new artist collaborations.
These have already been flying out!
Shaun Gladwell is a Sydney based Australian video artist who has gained international
recognition for his work including exhibiting at the Venice Biennale in 2009
and in 2011, at Melbourne's Australian Centre for Moving Image.
Gladwell describes his video art as "performance landscapes" and his work often presents
a juxtaposition of the visual against the environment.
Shaun is represented in Australia by Anna Schwartz Gallery and here a little
taste of his video work -
Brisbane born, internationally renowned artist Anthony Lister is something of a local legend and
the guy is only thirty-something.
Anthony's work reflects street and popular culture and it is his interaction with
his community and his persona that intrigues us even more to follow his work.
Anthony is prolific but particular and often the placement or execution of his
work seems to be a part of the process - the reaction and the participation.
He recently presented two amazing pieces at the No Years music event which
was at Brisbane's Powerhouse on New Year's Eve...

There are just some films that really stay with you.
It's handy to have them on the shelf so when you recall that memory of them,
you can watch them again and again.
These favourites by cult director Jim Jarmusch are those kind of films
and we currently have them in stock at The Outpost.
