Fashion Week + New Arnsdorf, Lover & More! 14th may 2010

Hi Everyone,

I'm a little behind getting the latest news to you after our HUGE
week at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week.

In fact, the workload just gets heavier now as I am
sifting through all the photos and order sheets and I just
finished the summer order for Lover.
Phew!

It may seem early but when you think about it, the designers
have to make sure they get all of their fabrics ordered/ delivered
and get their production underway with some designers delivering
as early as July.
It's a massive job.

Matt snuck off to see the first of the three Chris Bailey and
Ed Keupper shows at The Troubadour last night.
I had a ticket, but too much to do at the moment
(well someone has to do it) so, I will hopefully get
there next week.

Can you believe that Ian Astbury, lead singer of The Cult
dropped in to both Blonde Venus and The Outpost
for a spot of shopping before their show at The Tivoli
last Wednesday night?!!!

When Lauren called to tell me, I was so devastated that
I hadn't been there but "magic happens" and I actually
got to meet him after the Sydney show - see Day 4
of my Pedestrian posts below.

If you haven't read them already, I was doing some daily
blogging for pedestrian.tv last week.
It gives you a bit of an idea of what we get up to during Fashion Week
and I actually edited my posts because I just didn't have the time
to write about EVERYTHING!

I managed two outfits a day and three on Thursday ;)

Here's the latest new season arrivals...

Arnsdorf

"No One Belongs In My Suitcase More Than You"

Slim Jean in Rouge $270

Pink/Bronze Belt $120

We started stocking Jade's first label Arnsdorf and
Karaaslan way back in 2006 before she went solo and she
has gone from strength to strength ever since.
Last week, her Opticks Runway show was one of the absolute
highlights of Australian Fashion week.

This drop completes our Arnsdorf delivery for the season.
The slim jeans in Rouge are her seasonal high-waisted
lean jean, in a fab limited edition colour.
The metallic belt is an easy feature piece which seems to
tone well with lots of colours.
Arnsdorf in-store now at Blonde Venus!

Lover

"The Harvest"

Equinox Velvet Dress in Black $374

The Bomber Jacket in Black Wool with Black Leather Sleeves $649

Back in Stock!
Hinterlands Scarf in Wheat $196

Some more great pieces from Lover and so well priced
considering the lovely fabrics and quality.
The bomber jacket is my pick of this delivery.
It is surprisingly light weight but really warm.
I love it's simplicity and also, it's just a little
bit rock'n'roll.
Lover in store now at Blonde Venus!
