Hi Everyone!
We just got home from seeing Chris Bailey and Ed Keupper
play another show at The Troubadour.
It was a fairly serious, acoustic set and the crowd
was like "when old dudes get together".
I think Chris had been told to hold off on the chat and they
pretty much played straight through.
My favourite song of the night was Just Like Fire Would and
I'll probably go back again next week for the final show,
because we just may not get this opportunity again.
Tonight, Rob Younger and Jim Dickson from
Radio Birdman are playing in their other incarnation
The New Christs at The Step Inn.
I'll warn you now that this will be a super late show
as their are 4 supports.
I guess it's value for money.
On Saturday night, the 22nd, Mike Fielding aka Naboo,
from The Mighty Boosh is playing a DJ set at The Zoo.
The night has sold out but if you have tickets, make sure
that you come early as Matt aka Old Lady is playing
early and in between the bands with El Norto and
Polar Bear.
Brisbane of course, is known for it's constant supply
of emerging bands and this Sunday afternoon,
you can discover the latest.
Per Purpose
Per Purpose, who are confirmed to play at I Used To Skate
Once on the 24th of June, are among the line-up along
with Scraps, Kitten Party and Science.
The gig starts at 4pm, is all ages and it's only $5 to get in,
at Burst City, Southbank.
The annual Greek Paniyiri Festival is on this Saturday
and Sunday at Musgrave Park.
If you don't think that you can handle the crowds, you
can always stop in at The Flamingo Cafe for some
of Effie's famous meatballs.
