After seeing this film at BIFF a year ago, I had been desperately trying
to organize another screening, to no avail.
Now, Palace Centro have come to the rescue and Bill Cunningham New York will open
on the 24th of November.

EVERYONE I know that has seen it has loved it and I think that you don't
necessarily have to be a fashion lover to enjoy it.
It is simply a beautiful life story on a man's career passion and he is
seriously so precious.

Antipodium are always generous with their print collaborations, not
by choosing big names but the innovators.
Karl Maier is one one of the founders of the infamous Rinzen
design team which started life in Brisbane over 10 years before
the partners decided to work together but separately in Sydney,
New York and Germany.
Karl has been based in Sydney and is soon heading off to live in
London where he will continue his own design work along with
the exciting new company Craig and Karl which he has formed
with Craig Redman.
Craig is well known for his character Darcel Disappoints (Karl Lagerfeld
is a fan) and also received acclaim for his exhibition of "famous faces"
which opened in Milan during fashion week recently.
I adore this minty, Crayfish print that Karl has created for Antipodium.
It's so kitsch and summery and a refreshing print idea that is begging for a
matching cocktail...

US tour and are playing at Woodland with Dick Diver, doing a dual
LP launch.
Also tonight, there is a Brisbane line-up at The Waiting Room (old Browning
Street Studios, West End) with Sleepwalks, Udays Tiger and Tiny Spiders.
On Saturday night, HTRK from Melbourne are playing at The Bridge Club
(the Irish Club) supported by Lakes, Secret Birds and Nite Fields.
If you are off to the Harvest Festival tomorrow at the City Botanic Gardens,
make sure that you drop in and say hello to Dan and the guys from

Everyone seems to be finishing up with exams and assignments this
week which is very exciting.
