Hi Everyone,
It's that crazy time of the year again when the deliveries are
starting to power through again and I have also started buying
for next summer.
Strange days as it feels like we only just started summer here
in the last couple of weeks!
So, in between this GIGANTIC Karen Walker delivery, we have been
down to Sydney for a couple of days of showings, PLUS
I'm desperately trying to keep up with the Northern Hemisphere
Autumn/Winter Runway Shows.
The Runway shows have again been a mixed bag.
Out of the many, many collections so far, I have only favoured
a handful and have mostly liked parts of collections rather
than whole ones but I have still managed to collect a massive folder
of photos on my desktop.
Karen Walker's new collection North had some great pieces as well as
A Detacher, Jeremy Laing, Altuzarra, Marc Jacobs and naturally Richard Nicoll.

So far, Black still seems to be laying low which is great because this
colour is ENERGIZING and I think we can all use the positive energy at the moment.
Current colours including Orange, Mustard and shades of Blue are
still looking strong as well as shades of Red and strong Greens.

This incredible collection has so much energy.
Karen took inspiration from the photos of William Eggleston and as she said, the fact that he
takes ordinary things and makes them extraordinary.
I think the same thing can be said about Karen's collections season after season.
The combination of a button through shirt and a pair of drawstring pants doesn't sound so much
but look at what she can do!
The thing that I love about these pieces too is that they are so comfortable and easy to wear.
It's up to you how far you push the combinations.
Me? I'm happy to take it the whole way because it makes life less uptight and a whole lot
more F.U.N.

Tonight I'm definitely going to need a refreshing beverage and I'm heading off to
the Hi-Fi to see 80's avant garde musicians Gang of Four.
This is their official side show for Saturday's SOLD OUT Soundwave Festival at the RNA
with headliners Iron Maiden, Queens of the Stoneage, Slayer and more.
Who would have thought?!
Next Tuesday night, I'm going to see potential rock husband and Fantastic Man,
Bryan Ferry with Roxy Music at the Riverstage.
I'm hoping they play this one...
