Hi Everyone!

6ft Hick is showing on ABC2 on Wednesday 16 February 2011at 9:30pm.

6ft Hick (the movie) screened as part of the Local Heroes selection at the Brisbane International
Film Festival (BIFF) last year.

If you missed it at BIFF make sure you tune it!
You can also catch it on ABC's iview internet channel during February and March.

It is always interesting to hear what students get up to after they graduate...

Anthony McMonagle whose photos we recently exhibited after his graduation from
QCA has been inspired to go into Architecture and is moving to Melbourne this
week to begin his studies.

QUT BFA Fashion graduates on the go...
Brett Bevage began his position at Karen Walker last week.
An exciting time as they countdown to their AW11 show at New York
Fashion Week next Tuesday the 15th.

Jeremy Gillis has moved to Melbourne to take up a position in production with menswear
label Rodd and Gunn.

Robyn Taggart who, along with Jeremy, was a finalist in the Fashion Graduate of the Year
Award leaves for London next week to gain some industry experience
through an internship.

Luke Sarra was a recipient of the 2010 Ipswich Arts Foundation
Scholarship and launched an installation exhibition of his
graduate collection at the Ipswich Art Gallery last week.
The theatrically inspired collection entitled On The Surgeon's Stage
is showing at the gallery until this Sunday the 13th of February.

The Ipswich Art Gallery is open 7 days from 10am to 5pm.

Karina Seljak is  launching Quatrain,  an exhibition of her graduate collection
next Thursday night the 17th of February at Metro Arts as a collaborative
project with inbetweenspaces.
Her work is being presented through an interpretation on film.
