We had a quick trip to Melbourne and Sydney last week
and mixed in work with some play.
In Melbourne, we caught up with old friend Nicole Thibault
(Minimum Chips) at The European, had dinner at
city hotspot Mamasita and previewed the latest
PAM collection for our Autumn/Winter 2011.
In Sydney, we previewed the latest collection from Dr Denim
and had the absolute pleasure of seeing The Strokes
play the most amazing show at The Horden Pavilion.
Every song was a winner and the guys looked amazing - in fact
more handsome than ever.
At the show, we ran into (as you do) Nathan Mahon
who is running the popular, random Hot Rod nights
held at The Oxford Hotel.

On Friday night we were back into Brisbane and straight back
into fun with an absolutely massive night at Burst City.
Brisbane bands Kitchen's Floor, Blank Realm and Slug Guts
teamed up with Sydney's Naked on the Vague for such
a fun night, we've all been recovering since!
On Saturday night, we were lucky enough to see
The Pixies play an "intimate" show at The Zoo.
Then on Wednesday night, we saw Sky Needle
play with Kitchen's Floor at Rics.

So, we didn't go to Splendour in the Grass, but certainly
made up for it and without any difficult camping!
So...back in the store and TOTALLY blown away by amazing NEW SEASON
deliveries.
Hot favourites so far have been Richard Nicoll and even though
it's only been on the racks for 2 days, there is a lot of love for
the new Karen Walker collection.

Don't you love the fabrics and the colour mix and there is no excuse
to wear black this summer!

We are going to the Valentino Exhibition opening
tonight at GoMA then tomorrow night is a contemporary
art lover's dream.
The IMA launch this year's Fresh Cut exhibition, where
4 lucky Queensland emerging artists are the recipients of $5000
each from Brisbane Airport to support making work for
the show.

We will then be making our way to an off-shoot event
entitled Fresher Cu_ts which celebrates the freshest
crop of Brisbane art graduates, featuring around 21 artists.
