New! Karen Walker Second Delivery & More! 21t August 2010

Hi Everyone!

Thanks to all who came along to our in-store at
The Outpost last Friday night for an unplugged
performance by Big Strong Brute's Paul Donoughue.

I wanted more and saw Paul play again at The Troubadour
last night, with band in tow which was great.
His new EP called We Can Sleep Under Trees in the Morning
is now available for sale at The Outpost.

Last night, I also went to the official launch of the QUT Creative
Enterprise Australia (CEA) initiative, the FLEET store in the Wintergarden.
Fleet is a temporary pop-up store open until October 30, housing a mix
of designs by QUT fashion design students past and present
as well as CEA mentees including Francis Leon and Sub Fusco.

I then popped in to Nine LIves to see the latest works from Beastman
and Luke Taaffe.

Beastman just complete a mammoth work by completing painting
his artwork over the 4ZZZ building on Barry Parade.

I drove by this week to take a look and had to go around again
for a second time - it looks amazing!
The artist painted the building as part of 4ZZZ's 30th Birthday celebrations and they
are still running their annual Radiothon until midnight tonight.

It's sad for the whole city when creatives move away, especially when
the person is a much loved man about town, Pass Port's Trent Evans.
Trent just moved to Sydney this week.
We're hoping he will hate it and move back.
At least we still have his goods here as a link and reminder of our friendship.
This is the first delivery from Trent's latest collection.
