His name is Simon Porte Jacquemus.
He's French and he's keen to let you know!
Self taught, Simon showed his first collection
in 2009 at the age of 20.
His latest collection is his biggest to date and has been
incredibly well received in magazines and blogs everywhere from Style.com,
Dazed Digital, i-D Magazine and the list goes on.
A double page editorial in French Vogue doesn't go astray either!
This collection was inspired by the 1969 film "La Piscine" (The Swimming Pool)
directed by Jacques Deray and starring Alain Delon, Romy Schneider, Marice Ronet
and Jane Birkin.

Even though it's a northern hemisphere Autumn/Winter collection,
Simon held his runway show at a public swimming pool where the
models and the guests wore pool slides.
The concept continues!

The basis of his collection is uniform style classics with a fashion twist
in natural fibres of cotton and wool.
Simon wanted to interpret the very French classic identity of red, white
and blue in a modern and chic way.
