HI Everyone!
Friends in High Places
Artist Craig Redmond with Karl Lagergeld at Colette.
Craig Redmond, NY based designer and creator of Darcel Disappoints
opened a new exhibition this week at Colette in Paris.
This exhibition is to celebrate 15 years of Colette with 150 of
Craig's portraits of people who inspired in fashion, art, design and film.
Take a look through...
I have so many favourites but I can't go past these two - Mike Mills and Miranda July.
So of you may remember Craig from his Rinzen days and the studio
at Cameron House on Brunswick Street.
Those were the days of the Bitch Cafe, Red Books, the Eiffel Tower Patisserie and
the amazing FW Canteen
It was such a cool and creative time in Brisbane and it's wonderful
so see Craig doing so well.
Paris Runway Highlights
I could be here all day, so I have just narrowed it down to these two standouts...
Definitely some similarities to the Prada collection here at Miu Miu but on even more of a 60's trip.
Absolutely love the fabric and colour combinations and again, the shoes!

Dress Up designer Stephanie Downey designed this amazing print from photographs that
she took herself of Melbourne industrial sites.
Stephanie established her label 6 years ago but this kind of dedication shows her continued
commitment to design with artistic integrity.
At a time when many fashion designers seem to be sadly relinquishing their original
ideals for commercial branding, it is so inspiring to see designers like Stephanie Downey
with ongoing passion and authenticity.
Dress Up is all made in Australia.
This is the first delivery from her new collection and we can't wait for more!

It has been such a busy week but I am hoping to see Naked Maja play
(early) tomorrow night at X & Y Bar followed by a furious dance floor
work out at Woodland for their evening of Soul, Mod, Ska, 2Tone and more
at This Is Woodland.
I'm trying to make the most of this wonderful place before is closes down
at the end of March due to new ownership of the building.
So many of us have had so many fun nights there!
Wahhhhh, it's true but as Matt Brady said "it's good to go out on a high"
and he is already super busy with The Outpost and working on his massive
annual art/music event, I Used To Skate Once that is on again in June.
Thanks for all of your entries to the Arial Pink competition.
Congratulations to Stacey K who won the pass.
Hope you enjoyed it Stacey!
Don't forget that our 3 day sale is on today, Saturday and Sunday at 358 Brunswick Street,
opposite the Empire Hotel.
See you soon,
