We FINALLY had a break and escaped to Yamba for
a week for some ocean swims, rainforest walks,
dolphin spotting and G&T's watching the ocean from
the Pacific Hotel.
Amazing!
This week, we have been straight back into it,
with showings in Sydney for next summer starting
already and THIS season's new deliveries arriving
at the door.

I only posted the lookbook shots on the blog last week and
voila, they have arrived already!
The amazing new lookbook was styled by Keegan Singh
in New York last month.
The images have a glowing Egyptian feel and they remind
me of Busby Berkeley movies from the 1930's.
Karen has continued some of her winning shapes (like Trixie,
Annie and Super Duper Strength) but look at the fabulous new
styles too.
I love The Village and Rover and there are still a couple more
styles and colours to come through.

After virtually every one of her runway show's, the collection is
often touted as Karen's best one yet.
I think that statement is huge considering her back catalogue,
but her consistency is incredible.
This collection was based on a 1960's series (The Prisoner) which
was about a group of retired spies living in a seaside village.
So there are big coats and hats and big frame glasses so that
you can "hide" and fabulous nautical references all the way
through.
I LOVE a navy striped tee and how hard is it to get a good one?
This is the first delivery from the collection and there is still more
to come including lots of great navy dresses and the very cute
seagull print.

Antipodium designer Geoffrey J Finch may be holed up in a
freezing cold London studio but he hasn't forgotten about
us and has drawn upon Australian heritage in this collection,
by collaborating with Aboriginal artists from remote
Western Australia.
There are, as always, lots of great easy pieces that will
easily slip into your wardrobe like the Walkabout Shorts and
Skirts and the Tucker Tanks and Tees.
My favourite is the Hot Under the Scholar Blazer which is
made in the softest knit fabric that has almost a boucle
effect - kind of like a structured cardigan.

There has been such a steady stream of amazing music
coming through Brisbane.
My favourites at Laneway festival were the Dirty Three and
Eddy Current.
Such a shame that Echo & The Bunnymen cancelled :(
We ended up missing Marianne Faithful (due to exhaustion) but
I have heard that she was fantastic with a big and multi
talented band.
