New Season! Cheap Monday @ The Outpost + More ;)

Hi Everyone!

I am not exaggerating when I say that every single show
and exhibition that I saw in Sydney was absolutely amazing!
At Semele Walk (the Handel Opera) my hands were gripped to
the balcony the whole way through.
It was the most innovative Opera and one of the best stage shows
I have ever seen.

David Byrne & St Vincent pre-show at the beautiful State Theatre

Again, David Byrne and St Vincent were incredible.
Virtually the whole show was choreographed, including their wonderful Brass Band
which gave the performance so much more personality.
They even played three Talking Heads songs This is the Place,
Burning Down the House and Road To Nowhere.
We gave them two standing ovations.

Brooklyn band, E.S.G. had the whole room dancing.

I somehow ended up at the Rolling Stone Awards Party!

The Francis Bacon collection at the Art Gallery of NSW was powerful through his
unique eye and his amazing use of colour.

Sky Mirror (2006) by Anish Kapoor at the front of the MCA

Here, I'm with friends Emma Sayer and Erin Dawson in the reflection of the back of the Sky Mirror

My Red Homeland (2003) by Anish Kapoor
Sculpture made from red wax with revolving arm that takes an hour to circle and keeps the piece evolving.

Marble, resin and bronze sculpture by Hany Arnanious on the rooftop of the MCA.
The cafe there has fantastic food and of course, there's the view...

"Dust" by Cong Lingqi @ White Rabbit Gallery

Charcoal and pencil drawing by Zhang Chun Hong @ White Rabbit Gallery

The White Rabbit Gallery is a privately owned gallery showing contemporary
Chinese art, specifically from the year 2000 onwards.
It is a beautiful four level space housed in a former Rolls Royce showroom
near Central Station in Sydney's Chippendale.
As you walk in, you're welcomed by a quirky gift store and a tea house.
These two pieces above are a little taster of the amazing level of work that is on
show at this wonderful gallery.
A great way to spend an afternoon.
