New! PROVENSEN SHOES + EDWIN Man Love XX

Hi Everyone!

The Spanish Film Festival is currently on at Palace Centro until this
Sunday the 29th.

The Sydney Film Festival starts next month and I have been enviously
pouring over the programme which runs from June 8th to the 19th.

I don't think that I'll be able to make it down so I am hoping that some of these
will be showing here, sooner rather than later:
Beginners (Mike Mills)
The Future (Miranda July)
Norwegian Wood (Tran Ahn Hung)
The Tree of LIfe (Terrence Malick)
Sleeping Beauty (Julia Leigh)

They are also showing a few beautiful  classics from the
1950's directed by Douglas Sirk including:
There's Always Tomorrow with Barbara Stanwyck plus Magnificent Obsession
and All That Heaven Allows, both starring Jane Wyman and Rock Hudson.
Dreamy.

Apparently tickets are selling fast and I'm not surprised...

There is action a plenty in our own Winn Lane.
Such a wonderful community feel.
The Outpost has a new side window so that you can look
at treats while you're getting your Flamingo coffee.

There's also a pretty new overhead lattice for some soon to be
sprawling passionfruit vine.

Save the date for the next Winn Lane Markets which will be on Saturday June the 4th.

Additional mark downs!
I have just made some new mark downs with 30% off selected
Antipodium and Arnsdorf.

I'm so excited about these!
You may remember that we introduced Faye's debut Provensen collection last winter
that included the famous Desert Boots.

Faye has a great eye for fashion forward footwear and this season, she has put together
another cool collection of edgy styles in the most interesting colour palette.
She has even taken on the elusive mid heel!

All styles are available in sizes 35 to 43, so that no one misses out
and her pricing is amazing for such well constructed leather shoes.
We can post these within Australia for $12 a pair if you can't get them in your area.

In 1947, the Tsunemi family became one of Japan's major importers of American workwear and denim
and by 1961 they started producing their own jeans in Japan, under the name Edwin.

By 1963 they had produced the world's heaviest denim (16 oz) and were the first to incorporate Edwin's
famous three colour rainbow selvedge which is still in use in their jeans today.

In the 1980's, Edwin invented "stone washing" which revolutionised the entire denim industry
and was a pivotal moment in the evolution of denim manufacturing as we know it today.

In the 1990's Edwin created the "new vintage" concept which encompasses the subtle beauty of
hand replicating vintage washed from archive references pre-dating 1947.

Edwin are also famous as one of the few denim brands still hand dying their cotton with natural indigo,
harvested from the plantations in the traditional Indigo growing region of Tokushima.
This gives the denim a richer and more natural colour than the chemical dyes.

A big thank you to Ethan Widin (FlamingoPearl Cafe) who took time out during a latte
run to model these pieces for us!
