New! House of Holland, Six-Scents & More!

Hi Everyone!

We saw iconic Australian band, The Church play at The Zoo last

Saturday night.

Steve Kilbey and Marty Wilson-Piper dropped in to

The Outpost for a visit as did all the member of Songs

and a few of the guys picked up an Outpost/Pass Port colab

tee.

Steve is still enigmatic and handsome.

They played so well and sounded fantastic - a loud and

long show.

They played four songs from Blurred Crusade that I love,

but disappointed us a little by not playing their crowd favourites

Almost With You or Unguarded Moment.

These videos might refresh your memory...

Matt caught the last part of Songs at The Empire

and he said that they were fantastic as usual,

but I had to go home.

It was just too hot and too crazy out there!

If you missed the QUT Graduate shows or maybe you would like

to see them again, they now have the videos up on youtube.

My pick?    Lauren Clark ;)

Take a peek...

The French Kissers

It is apparently hilarious and has been a huge

hit in Europe already with over one million admissions

in just eight weeks!

Six-Scents, New York

This is the second installation for this interesting fragrance

concept which combines contemporary fashion designers with

contemporary fragrance makers.

Each fragrance is again beautifully boxed and numbered .

Every box also contains a book on the project with

a story on each fragrance which is still incredibly

limited to only 2000 bottles of each for the world.

This year, each fragrance also comes with a special

video by avant garde film maker and artist Marco Branbilla

which is inspired by the six senses.

It explores the way you might remember thoughts and

feelings associated with the experience of each fragrance and

is called Flashback.

The six fragrances are...

Number 1: Collage

Designer 3.1 Philip Lim , NY

Parfumeur Natalie Gracia-Cetto

(Burberry Brit, Higher Energy Dior, Paul Smith Story)

Ingredients include: Italian Bergamot oil, White Pepper extract,

Madagascan Black Pepper oil, Juniper Berry oil,

Magnolia accord, Indonesian Patchouli oil, Virginian Cedarwood

oil and Incense.

Number 2:  Ende/Anfang

Designer Damir Doma, Paris

Parfumeur Yann Vasnier

(Red Series Palissander & Rose for Comme des Garcons,

Lola and Fig Splash for Marc Jacobs)

Ingredients include: Indonesian Purple Ginger, Vetiver Oil,

Cedarwood, Guatamalan Cardamom, Coriander Seed,

Australian Sandalwood.

Number 3: Solar Donkey Power

Designer Henrik Vibskov

Parfumeur Louise Turner

(Escada Moon Sparkle, Eau de Star for Thierry Muggler,

Incanto Pour Homme for Ferragamo.

Ingredients include: Bergamot, Aromatic Sage, Geranium Patchouly,

Moss, Incense, Pine.

Number 4: Smell

Designer Henry Holland

Parfumeur Stephen Nilsen

(Splash Lemon for Marc Jacobs, Dawn for

Sarah Jessica Parker)

Ingredients include: Lilac, Mimosa, Pine Forest Accord,

Green Grass, Sheer Jasmin, Musk, Purple Petals Accord,

Suntan Lotion Accord, Tarragon.

Number 5: Nicoll Number Seventeen

Designer Richard Nicoll

Parfumeur Rodrigo Flores-Roux

(CK Free for Calvin Klein, Inverse for Kylie Minogue,

Green Tea Revitalize for Elizabeth Arden.

Ingredients include: Florentine Fennel, Fennel pollen,

Exotic black basil, White Iris petals, Caraway seeds,

Taracco Sweet Orange, Angelica roots, Southern Magnolia,

early summer Ivy Buds.

Number 6: Whiskey Caramelise

Designer Toga

Parfumeur Alexandra Kosinski

(Cuir de Lancome, Emotion Divine for Mauboussin)

Ingredients include: Mandarin, Nutmeg, Blackcurrent,

Apple, Dewfruit, Sandalwood, Musk, Patchouly.

The fragrances are all uni-sex although some definitely

lean more one way than another.

A good example is Damir Doma who is a French based

men's wear designer and his fragrance is quite warm

and masculine.

Again, a portion of all proceeds will be donated to a charity

and this time it is Pro-Natura in support of their environmental

sustainability programmes.
