New Season! ACNE, Arnsdorf, Karen Walker & more ‏ 10/09/09

Hi Everyone!

The gorgeous French actor and singer Charlotte Gainsbourg
is in Queensland at the moment shooting her latest film
called The Tree which is based on a book written by Australian author
Judy Pascoe.

Charlotte, the daughter of English actress Jane Birkin and French
actor and singer Serge Gainsbourg has also been working
on a new album, with the help of Beck which should
hopefully be out early next year...

Charlotte dropped in to Blonde Venus and The Outpost this week, for a spot of shopping.
Alors! How exciting!

We are heading to The Troubadour tonight to see Sydney band Songs play.

Talented band member Max Doyle has photographed another fashion piece
in the September issue of Australian Vogue.
Styled by Meg Gray, these beautiful photos are refreshingly "Australian".

The "new look" Harper's Bazaar is out now with Edwina McCann (ex Grazia & The Australian)
at the helm.
Look out for some killer fashion pages styled by Christine Centenera
and of course Mark Vassallo.

These other great music shows are coming up.
Buy tickets or miss out!

Robert Forster is playing the closing show for The Met Up Late

ACNE which stands for Ambition to Create Novel Expressions,
started as a denim label way back in 1997.

The label's profile went through the roof last year with their
collaboration with luxury brand Lanvin, but it has still managed
to retain it's edgy identity.

Now, with so much more than just good jeans, the label is on the
international most wanted list for it's forward yet understated pieces
and is a label often worn by fashion stylists and buyers for those
very reasons.

This is our first season delivery from the Fall Collection, with more
to come.

What's New at The Outpost?!

The Director's Cut by Philos-o-face, Melbourne

Philos-o-Face Badges are $33 each

Designer Prudence Rees-Lee unveiled this new collection during the recent
Melbourne Film Festival to 4 star reviews!

The perfect gift for a true film buff or perhaps a bit of inspiration for
a film and television student?

This assortment of influential film directors ranges from Orson Wells and
Sir Alfred Hitchcock through to Jim Jarmusch, Sophia Coppola and Spike Lee.

Each badge comes mounted on card with a memorable quote from the director
and on the back is a selected list of some of their most famous films.

One of my favourite quotes is from Jean-Luc Goddard
"I pity the French Cinema because it has no money.
I pity the American Cinema because it has no ideas."
Philos-o-face is available exclusively in Queensland at The Outpost!
