Jessica Shipard has just completed her Bachelor of Design at the Queensland College of Art.
Though her studies were leading her to a career in furniture and industrial design,
her love of fashion inspired her to design and prototype fashion accessories such
as sunglasses, scarves and shoes.
On the 16th of November 2011 Jessica unveiled her label Colony at her Design Graduate Exhibition.
and in that same week she took her first retail order from Blonde Venus!
Now we are proud to launch her debut collection in-store.
The Geodes shape is inspired by refractions of light and the natural geometric
faceting of semi precious crystals.
The corners have crystal-faceted cut-outs making it a modern cat's eye frame.
Feline are Colony's take on the classic cat eye frame with a sharp point.
Colony's acetate frames are expertly hand crafted in Australia by Roger Henley who
has been making optical frames for over 20 years in his Adelaide studio.
Colony Eyewear has 100% UV protection and comes with a 2 year product warranty.
Each pair come in a protective hard case with a hand printed Colony lens cleaning cloth.
